Privacy
How Audio Tools handles local media, optional analytics, feedback and voluntary support.
Your media stays here
Your chosen MP4, its filename, decoded audio and MP3 are processed in browser memory. No media is sent to a server or payment provider. A new file, reset or navigation releases the current task and output; there is no stored media history.
Optional analytics
Permitted events on the configured official or staging hostname describe fixed categories such as starting or completing conversion. Each hostname is reported separately. They do not include filenames, media, raw sizes, durations, query parameters or error stacks. A fixed source category can be retained for 30 minutes. Local, QA, opted-out, DNT, unknown-host and storage-failure visits do not send analytics. Use Analytics settings below to opt out.
Feedback you choose to send
Ordinary feedback is sent to the official feedback service and database. QA feedback uses only the separate test service and test database. A configured service receives only the rating, reason and message that you actively submit. Do not include private information in your message. QA and staging feedback must use the separate test service and database.
Voluntary support
Buy me a coffee is an optional one-time tip. PayPal loads only after you open its dialog, and receives its own payment-related data. Your file and audio are never attached. Supporting the author is not required to convert media.
Third-party software
The browser loads a locally hosted LAME3.100 encoder built with Emscripten, together with Mediabunny1.62.1 and modified MPL2 wrapper source. The full license notices, corresponding source and relink instructions are available in the third-party notices and encoder source materials. No manual encoder installation is needed. These resources match this runtime.
